Viśvarūpa-Darśana Yoga · The Yoga of the Vision of the Universal Form
Arjuna sees the entire universe in Bhagavan's body — and learns that such a vision comes by grace, and he is reached only by undivided devotion.
What is happening here?
At the end of Chapter 10 Bhagavan said that countless universes lie in one fraction of him — and that he, the support of all, sits as Arjuna's charioteer holding the reins. Struck with wonder at this grace, Arjuna says his delusion is gone and asks to see that divine form. Bhagavan grants him a divine eye, and Sañjaya describes the form brighter than a thousand suns. Arjuna sees gods and worlds within it, then its terrible aspect devouring the warriors of both armies. When he asks who this is, Bhagavan says 'I am Time', the warriors are already slain, and Arjuna should be merely the instrument. Arjuna praises him, begs forgiveness for past familiarity, and asks to see the gentle form again; Bhagavan shows it and says he can be known and seen in this way only through undivided devotion.
Why it comes hereयह अध्याय यहाँ क्यों
Chapter 10 closed with Bhagavan saying that all creation lies in a fraction of him and that he, the great support of every glory, is sitting before Arjuna as his charioteer. When Arjuna's attention turns to this immense grace he is filled with wonder — and the natural next step is his request to see that form.

These eyes cannot see Me — I give you divine sight
Human eyes see only nature's small products; to see His cosmic form, Arjuna needs eyes the Lord Himself grants.
11.33They are already slain — be merely the instrument
Put in your full strength, but do not take yourself as the cause; what is to happen is in the Lord's hands.
11.54By undivided devotion alone can I be known, seen and entered
Not Vedas, sacrifice, charity or austerity, but only undivided devotion lets one know God in truth, see Him and enter into Him.
11.55Work for Me, depend on Me, love Me — free of attachment and enmity
Five marks lead to God: acting for Him, holding Him supreme, belonging to Him, freedom from attachment, and no enmity toward any being.
