English
Sadhaka-SanjivaniTo those men, who worship Me alone, thinking of none but Me, who are ever-devout, I provide them gain and security.
The idea
Summary based on Sadhak Sanjivaniसाधक-संजीवनीपर आधारित सारFor those who think of God alone and stay constantly united with Him, God Himself provides what they need and protects what they have.
What is Krishna saying?
Those who firmly accept that everything seen is God's form and every change is His play give importance to nothing else — they are 'ananya'. Their means and their goal are God alone; they do not even desire their own maintenance, and all their eating, walking and working becomes worship. For such ever-united devotees Krishna says, 'I carry their yoga and kshema'. Swamiji explains that giving and withholding are both God's care: He gives, or removes, whatever actually helps the devotee's devotion and welfare. So the devotee stays deeply content in favourable and unfavourable situations alike.
Worshipper of other gods
- Like a hired labourer
- Gets limited fruit, as per desire
Devotee of God
- Like a member of the household
- Everything belongs to himसब कुछ उसीका होता है
Step by step
- 1
Ananya: turned away from the world (exclusiveness), turned towards God (contemplation), and serving Him in every state (worship) — together this is 'nityabhiyukta'.
- 2
God does whatever serves the devotee's real good — sometimes that means giving, sometimes withholding or taking away.
- 3
One who is happy only when things go his way is not God's servant but the servant of his own mind.
- 4
In the deepest sense, 'yoga' is one's connection with God and 'kshema' is one's ultimate welfare — both of which God strengthens.

Examples Swamiji gives in the commentaryव्याख्यामें स्वामीजीके दृष्टान्तThe mother who fetches it herself
When a mother sees that her little child needs something, she gladly brings it herself. In the same way, God Himself carries whatever His ever-devoted devotees need.
The labourer and the family member
A labourer gets wages that match his work; a member of the household who works owns everything in the house. Worship of other gods is like the first; devotion to God is like the second.
What could this look like today?
Modern analogy · not from the sourceआधुनिक उदाहरण · मूल ग्रन्थसे नहींcareer
A rejected job offer can feel like loss. In Swamiji's framing, for one who relies on God, what was not given is also part of His care — the not-getting is itself 'kshema'.
Why it matters
It frees the devotee from anxiety about getting and keeping: his only work is to stay with God; the rest is God's responsibility.
