Arjuna began the Gita unsure of what was right. Follow the same steps Krishna took him through: from the question, to what is real, to what to do, to where to rest.

Clarity starts where Arjuna started: admitting he could not decide, and asking sincerely for what is truly good for him.
- 22.11You grieve for what does not deserve griefशोक न करनेयोग्यका शोकअशोच्यानन्वशोचस्त्वं प्रज्ञावादांश्च भाषसे।Krishna's first answer shows that grief and confusion come from dividing people into 'mine' and 'not mine', and introduces the body–self distinction.
- 32.16The unreal has no being; the real never ceasesअसत्की सत्ता नहीं, सत्का अभाव नहींनासतो विद्यते भावो नाभावो विद्यते सत:।The core lens for every decision: what changes has no lasting existence, and what is real never ceases.
- 42.47Your right is to the action — never to its fruitकर्ममें ही अधिकार है, फलमें कभी नहींकर्मण्येवाधिकारस्ते मा फलेषु कदाचन।It separates what is in your hands (the action) from what is not (the result), which removes much of the confusion.
Having decided what to do, act while staying even in success and failure — this evenness is yoga.
- 63.35Better your own duty, even imperfectगुणरहित भी अपना धर्म श्रेष्ठ हैश्रेयान् स्वधर्मो विगुण: परधर्मात्स्वनुष्ठितात्।When comparing paths, Krishna's answer is that your own duty, done without desire, is better than another's, however attractive.
- 718.66Leave the support of all dharmas and take refuge in Me aloneसब धर्मोंका आश्रय छोड़कर केवल मेरी शरणमें आसर्वधर्मान्परित्यज्य मामेकं शरणं व्रज।The final word: stop trying to settle every question of dharma by yourself, take refuge in God and set down the worry.
- 818.73My delusion is gone; I will do as You sayमोह नष्ट हो गया, आपकी आज्ञाका पालन करूँगानष्टो मोह: स्मृतिर्लब्धा त्वत्प्रसादान्मयाच्युत।The result of the whole dialogue: Arjuna's delusion is gone, he stands free of doubt and is ready to act.
